1. Where can I get my prints ARTiPLAQ'd?
Consumers can purchase ARTiPLAQ™products
from one of the independently owned retail distributors listed on this website.
2. What can I plaq?
Posters, photos, ink jet prints, diplomas, awards, architectural renderings,
maps, charts, children's drawings, newspaper & magazine articles, indoor
signs, temporary signs, product promotions, concert & event announcements
and more. Just about any image that is not already laminated can be plaqued.
You might not want to ARTiPLAQ™ original art work that may increase in value or anything that is irreplaceable. ARTiPLAQ™ is a permanent process and cannot be undone.
3. Can I hang my plaq outdoors?
Unfortunately, no. ARTiPLAQs are intended for interior use only. The substrate
is not sealed and the backside is porous.
4. What if my trail map or newspaper is folded?
While we prefer to receive images, flat, not folded, we can plaq folded prints
and will do our very best to eliminate the crease.
5. What if I have more than one image to plaq on the same board, for
example a newspaper article, with separate photo and headline?
We can do that. Please do not scotch tape your article together. (Our adhesives
and laminates to do not stick to scotch tape.) We would also prefer if you
do not trim the article to the edge. (Instead, leave room for us to line up
the
adhesive with your article. We'll trim.) We'll first dry mount paper to the
board, then position your images as per your instructions
(a quick
sketch
is fine). We stock black and white paper or you can provide your own.
6. How do I hang my plaq on the wall?

The keyhole slot routed into the back of your
plaq is designed to accept a #8 panhead or round-headed screw. For heavy
plaqs, two screws can be used. Screw them into the wall at precisely the same
height
and two inches closer together than the slot on the back of the plaq is long.
Place the opening at the end of the slot over the screw, flatten the plaq
against the wall and slide the plaq across so the screw is centered. If two
screws
are used, slide the plaq on the screw in the direction of the other screw
until you can insert the other screw into the other opening.
You can adjust
the depth
of the screw in the wall to exert some pull on the plaq which will help
keep the plaq flat against the wall, and level in its hanging place. For
setting your screw into drywall we recommend E-Z Anchors.
If
the screw location is into a stud, no anchor is required. Other types of
anchors
are available for brick or cement walls. Ask your hardware store.
Remember ARTiPLAQs are intended for interior use only.
7. What do you recommend for large pieces, Plaq Mount, Flush or Float Mount?
For large pieces, typically over 24"x36", we recommend flush mounts
or float mounts as these are lighter in weight than large plaq mounts and
provide more depth (7/8") off the wall than the standard plaq mount
(which is 3/8" thick).
